Thermos® 2012 Fairways of Life Ryder Cup Ticket Giveaway
HOW TO ENTER: (U.S. LEGAL RESIDENTS ONLY)
You must submit in writing a description, in 75 words or less, of what you love about your Thermos brand product(s) and why you are passionate about the Ryder Cup to: rydercup@thermos.com. Your entry must include: Full name, address, and phone number. Entries will be accepted from 6:30am September 20, 2012 (CDT) to midnight September 23, 2012 (CDT). Limited to one entry per person. Multiple entries received from any person will be void.
All submissions must be the original work of the person submitting the entry, never been previously published, must not infringe on any third party rights, and may not include content which is offensive, violent, derogatory, sexually suggestive, obscene, defamatory, contains explicit language or imagery, or depicts Thermos and/or any of its products in a manner which is not positive. By submitting the entry, Entrant gives Thermos the right to use, edit, or publish the submission without any further compensation. Entry further constitutes the Entrant consents to irrevocably assign and transfer to Thermos in perpetuity any and all rights, title and interest in the posting, including without limitation, all copyrights, trademarks and rights of publicity including the right to publicly display, reproduce, in presentations, marketing materials and any other media Thermos chooses and for any and all media now know or hereinafter devised. If required, Entrant will sign any documents necessary to transfer copyright, trademark rights and rights of publicity to Thermos. If an Entrant’s submission is chosen as the winning entry, Entrant may have to certify in writing that his/her entry was original and written by Entrant and no other person or entity holds rights to the submission. Thermos reserves the right to disqualify entries that do not conform to these Official Rules. Thermos is not responsible for any change of email address of Entrants. Do not mail anything to Thermos. It will not be opened and will not be returned to the Entrant and will be destroyed. Thermos assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, illegible or mutilated entries. In the event of a dispute over the identity of an Entrant, the entry will be deemed submitted by the account holder of the email account, as applicable, at time of entry.
1. WHO CAN ENTER: Entrants must be 21 years of age or older (“Entrant or You”). Limited to legal residents of the U.S. only (excluding Puerto Rico). Potential winners, as condition of receiving any prize, will also be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Acceptance of Prize Form, a Liability Release.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. TO ENTER OR WIN. PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS INTENDED FOR VIEWING IN THE UNITED STATES ONLY AND SHALL ONLY BE CONSTRUED AND EVALUATED ACCORDING TO UNITED STATES LAW.
2. JUDGING AND NOTIFICATION: All qualifying entries submitted to rydercup@thermos.com will be considered equally and will be judged by a panel selected by Thermos. Judging will be based as follows: 40% on the creativity of content and 60% on the connection to Thermos brand and the Ryder Cup. The judging will occur on or around Monday, September 24, 2012. The winner will be announced on the SiriusXM Radio Show Fairways of Life with Matt Adams at about 6:30am CDT on September 25, 2012 and by email to the address by which the entry was submitted, on September 25, 2012 around 6:30am CDT. Decisions of judges are final. The odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.
3. PRIZES: Two (2) Ryder Cup tickets for four (4) days at the Ryder Cup Event (September 27-September 30, 2012) and two (2) tickets to the Thermos hospitality chalet, all being held at Medinah Country Club in Medinah, Illinois valued in total at approximately $8000. Winners are responsible for all federal, state and local taxes applicable to the acceptance and use of his/her prize. Thermos will issue a 1099 tax form to the winner for the approximate retail value of the prize. Thermos shall not be liable for any claim arising from winner’s use or dissatisfaction with any prize.
